New York two-piece BEAU released this week the video for their newest single ‘Animal Kingdom’ from their much anticipated debut album ‘That Thing Reality’, out via Kitsuné/Sony Red on March 11th, 2016 and available instantly with every album pre-order.

The song which the band say is about “not being able to match up to the untouchable ways of the animal kingdom” states in the lyrics that “in an attempt to overthrow the animal kingdom, we ran out of breath because we don’t have wings” – an apt summary of mankind’s tumultuous relationship with the animal kingdom and mother nature. Something the girls believe it’d be “better to be a part of than to fight.”

The video directed by Matthew Charof and produced by Kiss and Kill was shot in Los Angeles at Franklin Canyon Park and shows a parody of civilization with no current technology. The girls use their imagination to have everything we are so used to right now, like toothbrushes and dishes, making it with things you can actually find in the woods. The only thing from society remaining is electricity, which they get from a tree itself, by only plugging things in it.

This March Beau will be supporting Miike Snow for his US tour and also appearing at their first SXSW performance on March 16th. Following that, the band will be returning to Europe for 5 concerts.

Beau will release their debut album ‘That Thing Reality’ on Monday 11th March via Kitsuné/Sony Red.
