Lazy Girl 101: Spray Polish

Lazy Girl 101: Spray Polish

Out of every girly thing, the one I have the most is getting my nails done. It takes too long as the perfectionist freak I am who happens to see every imperfect detail. Honestly, I was considering getting one of those painted nails socks to avoid having to get my nails done (Yes, I am ashamed of myself for considering it!). But apparently, my lazy girl prayers have been answered and Nails inc. created a spray on nail polish.

It is  very easy and fun to apply. I myself love the spray painting part of every DIY projects I do, but now I get to “play” with spray paint even more often because this is the incentive I needed to get my nails on more often. Here’s how you do it:Step #1

Cover up your place of work. Spray paint, even for the most skilled person, make a mess, so, cover up the place you are doing it, it can be any big piece of paper you have laying around your house you know you will no longer need it.

Step #2

Apply Nails Inc. base coat on your nails. The company informs their clients this is a required step, so, if you don’t apply it first, it won’t work!

Step #2

Step #3

Pray the product of the can on your from a 10-15cm (4 to 5 inches) distance. You can spray it as may layers needed, I found 1 to be nice enough, but as I applied too close in a few nails I decided to apply another a second layer in all of them to even it out. NOTE: If you spray the polish on your nails closer than this, it will just keep  putting it on and off until you do it from this distance.

Step #3

Step #4

Remove the excess of paint with warm water or nail polish remover. I recommend warm water, as there’s no risk of the polish on your nails coming off.

The best practice for this as I see it would be to paint your nails right before you get in the shower as it dries really fast (matte lipstick fast) and the remaining paint in your skin come off easily with the warm water of the shower without messing up your nails, but if you are painting in a hurry before going out, you can dip a cotton swab in warm water and remove it, so you won’t have to be as careful as if you were using polish remover.IMG_2006

Enjoy your amazing and almost effortless nails! 😀

NOTE: I love matte nails, and that’s the final product which I was thrilled about it, but if you are a fan of the shiny/reflective nails, get Nails Inc. 2 in 1 Base and Top Coat and add it after all the steps too (besides using as a base, of course). It will give the desirable effect.

Also, I would like to highlight their base packaging. This tiny little see-through with mirror silver on top is adorable, to say the least!
